President Dr. Arif Alvi has denied the statement made by General (Rtd) Qamar Javed Bajwa regarding the support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Senate and during the election.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, Dr. Arif Alvi wrongly accused former Chief of Army Staff General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and his team regarding the alleged help of PTI in the Senate and during the election. Notice of the attributed statement has been taken.
The statement added that "the said statement has been quoted out of context and is self-inflicted and fabricated".
Earlier this statement attributed to Dr. Arif Alvi was circulating that General (Rtd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and his team helped Imran Khan in the Senate and they also helped PTI in the election.
