These beautiful salt mountains are located in #Iran. Among these salt mountains, the largest salt glaciers are located in the Zagros Mountains. These Zagras Mountains were formed when the Arabian Plate collided with the Eurasian Plate, which later formed the Salt Mountains. This salt was already present in this place
due to the existence of the sea at one time, when the sea water evaporated from this place, it left behind this salt in its remains. These beautiful colors of these rocks are due to the presence of various metals like magnesium etc.
The largest salt glacier in these mountains is located in the Zagras Mountains which extends for 14 km. There is no other place in the whole world where you can see such salt domes, but these mountains are also facing threats because there is petroleum under them and Iran intends to extract it in the future.
