Can Elon Musk's 'computer chip' help rehabilitate the disabled?

Elon Musk said on Wednesday that he expects to begin human clinical trials in six months on a "wireless brain chip" developed by his company Neuralink, which he says could help patients with disabilities. It can help to move and communicate again, and it will also pave the way for vision recovery.

Texas-based Neuralink has been testing on animals in recent years as it awaits approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin clinical trials in people, Reuters reported.

Reuters has shared a video of Musk's presentation on Twitter, in which, according to the news agency, a monkey is typing telepathically at an event for brain implant company Neuralink.
