Home Minister Rana Sanaullah acquitted in 15 kg drug recovery case
A special court in Lahore has acquitted Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in the 15 kg heroin recovery case.
It should be remembered that this case was made during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government when the Muslim League-N was in the opposition and in this connection Rana Sanaullah was arrested in July 2019. Later, on December 23, the Lahore High Court ordered his release on bail. In its written order, the Lahore High Court had declared that in this case 'the aspect of retaliatory action cannot be ignored'.
During the hearing in the local court on Saturday, two officers of the Anti-Narcotics Force, who were also witnesses in the case, filed affidavits before the court claiming that they were present at the time of Rana Sanaullah's arrest. were present but no drugs were recovered from their vehicle or possession. After the defection of the witnesses, the court issued orders to acquit the interior minister.
