In Sadiqabad, a village on the outskirts of Narowal, a farmer reached the vegetable market with around 50 maunds of cauliflower, but even after going around to several middlemen, he could not get a bid of more than Rs 2 to Rs 5 per kg.
The farmer was heartbroken and distributed the cauliflower for free in the market, and the citizens who came to the vegetable market filled bags and took the cauliflower for free.
The farmer said that it costs us Rs 40,000 per acre, we do not have to pay the cost of coming to the market with Rs 2 per kg, we are not able to pay the fees of the children.
