Argentina's Vice President Cristina Fernandez banned for life in corruption case.

Argentina's Vice President Cristina Fernandez was disqualified for life in a corruption case.

Argentina's Vice President Cristina Fernandez was found guilty of corruption and fraud after a federal court on Tuesday sentenced her to six years in prison and disqualified her from holding public office for life.

According to the foreign news agency, Fernandez will not face an immediate prison sentence given his immunity as vice president and head of the Senate, and the vice president also has the right to appeal the sentence in higher courts.

On the other hand, Fernandez has objected to the court decision in one of his statements and has taken a stand that false allegations of corruption and fraud have been made against him by his political opponents.
