The echoes of the alleged audio-video scandal are getting stronger day by day, the current and former prime ministers have also come under the wrap, reportedly 28 alleged audio-video scandals are referred to in the political history of Pakistan, of which 14 are alleged Audio video leaks are attributed to PML-N, 10 alleged audio video leaks are attributed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, while Pakistan People's Party is associated with only two alleged audio video leaks.
So far, the notable personalities mentioned in these alleged audio videos include President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Asif Zardari, Maryam Nawaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Ayaz Sadiq, Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazir Tarar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Shireen Mazari, Zulfi Bukhari, Ali Haider Gilani, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Muhammad Zubair, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Saifur Rehman, Justice (Retd) Malik Qayyum, Former Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal, Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik (Late), Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (Rtd) Saqib Nisar, Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan's Focal Person for Digital Media Dr. Arsalan Khalid, Dr. Tauqeer Shah, Azam Khan (Retd. Out of the 14 alleged audio-video leaks this year, four are attributed to Maryam Nawaz, four to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, three to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, two to Bushra Bibi and one to Asif Ali Zardari.
Earlier this year, on January 2, 2022, an alleged audio leak of Maryam Nawaz's conversation with senior PML-N leader Pervez Rasheed on the topic of monkey sharing of advertisements was leaked.
On May 29, 2022, another alleged audio of Maryam Nawaz came to light in which she was discussing media management with a person. In this alleged audio leak, she could also be heard asking the person to talk to the Prime Minister. They were also threatening.
