The Supreme Court legalized the Rekodic project.
A 5-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandyal, gave a 13-page verdict in the Rekodic case.
It was written in the decision that 2 questions were asked in the Rekodic presidential reference, it was declared in the decision that the Rekodic agreement is not against the decision of the Supreme Court in 2013, the federal and provincial governments made the agreement only after taking the opinion of experts.
The Supreme Court bench wrote in its opinion that the country's constitution does not allow agreements against the National Assets Act, provincial governments can amend and change the laws regarding minerals, the court said that the Balochistan Assembly trusts the agreement. It was held that while the elected public representatives also did not object to the agreement, there was no illegal clause in the agreement.
It should be remembered that the President of the country had applied for an opinion on the Recodek Reference on October 15, the Supreme Court held 17 hearings on the Recodek Presidential Reference.
